At Long Last
There are certain places that I've wanted to travel to and photograph for so long, that by the time I finally see them in person, the experience is equal parts sublime and surreal. Double Arch, in Utah’s Arches National Park, is one such place. Aside from the sheer grandeur of the twin arches, what struck me most about the setting was how much flora there was thriving in the rock and sand at the base of the arches. I was especially drawn to the yucca plant that's in the foreground of this photo, and the moment that I stumbled upon it, I immediately knew I had found my sunset composition.
