Fine Art Prints

There is no better way to elevate any indoor space than to bring a piece of the outdoors inside via a fine art print. My prints are the culmination of a process over which I have full control, beginning in the field, where I seek out unique destinations and compositions and utilize top-of-the-line equipment and flawless methodology crafted through thousands of hours in the field to ensure that my image files are of the highest quality possible. In the digital darkroom, I employ cutting-edge techniques and meticulous attention to detail to bring my creative vision to life and to deliver a fine art print to each customer’s doorstep that is of the utmost quality and will bring them joy and enrich their lives for years to come. I’m confident that my prints will bring the same sense of awe, wonder, and peace that I felt capturing the moment in nature to your space.

PRINT MEDIUMS

I offer three different mediums: Gallery-Wrapped Canvas, ChromaLuxe Metal, and TrueLife® Face-Mounted Acrylic. All prints are made in the USA by respected labs that use the highest quality materials and printers that are color-calibrated regularly to ensure that the rich colors and contrast of my photographs are accurately and consistently represented in each and every print. In addition, all prints are frameless and offer a modern, three-dimensional aesthetic and come ready-to-hang with a wire or Wall Buddies hanging system installed, so there’s no need to go through the complicated and expensive matting and framing process that traditional paper prints require.

Gallery-Wrapped Canvas Prints

The most economical print medium that I offer, gallery-wrapped canvas prints are sleek, lightweight, and easy to handle and hang. Photos are printed on thick, archival-grade canvas that is pH neutral and acid-free using eco-solvent inkjet printers that support vibrant and dazzling colors that are consistent and accurate. The canvas is wrapped around solid wood stretcher bars to ensure that the print does not warp or bow over time, and a ‘mirror wrap’ is utilized by which the edges of the image get reflected or ‘mirrored’ over the sides of the canvas to avoid losing details near the edges. Prints that are 30” x 45” and larger also come with a black backboard backing for enhanced durability and structural integrity. Gallery-wrapped canvas prints are less reflective than metal or acrylic prints, making them an optimal choice for bright rooms, and these prints will resist fading for over 100 years when kept out of direct sunlight.

ChromaLuxe Metal Prints

My metal prints are produced on glossy ChromaLuxe aluminum panels - the gold standard for metal printing - using dye sublimation to infuse archival inks directly into the metal, resulting in exceptional depth, vivid colors, and remarkable sharpness. The dye sublimation process gives metal prints their unique, modern look, and the deep blacks and vibrant colors coupled with the glossy finish of these prints make them incredibly eye-catching and excellent centerpieces and conversation starters. The robust construction of ChromaLuxe metal prints makes them resistant to scratches, scuffs, and everyday wear that can damage traditional prints, making them an excellent option for high-traffic environments and commercial display demands. ChromaLuxe metal prints come with a 1.5" premium black wood inset frame system installed on the back of the print which makes the print appear to elegantly float off the wall with no hanging system visible.

TruLife® Face-Mounted Acrylic Prints

TruLife® Face-Mounted Acrylic Prints are the most premium print medium available today. They are considered the gold standard for museum and gallery displays, and they offer a unique combination of visual depth, color brilliance, and durability that other print mediums struggle to match. To create a TruLife® Face-mounted Acrylic Prints, a fine art paper print is mounted face-first onto 1/8"-thick museum-grade TruLife® acrylic glass, and prints are backed by a 1/16"-thick layer of acrylic and are shipped ready-to-hang.

Advantages of TruLife® Face-Mounted Acrylic Prints

TruLife® Face-Mounted Acrylic Prints possess several characteristics that make them the highest-end, most deluxe print option available today:

  • Unmatched depth, clarity, and color vibrancy: Formulated to transmit 98% of light in the visible spectrum, TruLife® Face-Mounted Acrylic prints are printed at ultra-high resolution, appear optically brilliant, and display colors that are even more vivid, deep, and brilliant than ChromaLuxe Metal Prints. If you’re looking for the most striking and luxurious presentation that is utilized in the most reputable museums and galleries across the globe, this is it!
  • Anti-Reflective & Low Glare: TruLife® acrylic drastically reduces glare and reflections compared to traditional acrylic.
  • Anti-Static & Easy Cleaning: The material is anti-static, reducing dust accumulation. Unlike other acrylics, TruLife® can be cleaned with standard glass cleaner.
  • Museum-Grade Quality: Prints are face-mounted beneath optical-grade acrylic that provides 99% UV protection to ensure longevity while also being highly resistant to scratches and abrasion, images appear luminous and visually striking from every angle. Prints are shipped with a robust inset float-mount made of wood and a wire hanging system already attached so that prints elegantly float 3/4" off of the wall.

CHOOSING A PRINT

  • The first step in deciding on a print is to first which photograph(s) you’d like to grace your walls. Perusing my Galleries is a great place to start, and the Search tool can be used to identify photographs of particular subjects, locations, or colors.
    • It should be noted that for my prints to be fully appreciated, they need to be optimally illuminated, ideally with overhead, high-quality LED lighting in the 3000K to 4000k color temperature range. In spaces that have suboptimal lighting, I’d recommend avoiding dark and moody images when selecting a print in favor of brighter images that will still stand out in dimmer environments.
  • Once you’ve selected a photograph, the next step is to choose a medium and size. Hopefully the above descriptions of each medium that I offer is sufficient to make this choice, but if you have any remaining questions, please feel free to Contact Me and I’d be happy to have a discussion via email or phone to help you find the option that is right for you.

RECEIVING AND CARING FOR YOUR PRINT

In order to protect your investment and ensure the longevity of your print, there are some general guidelines that should be followed:

  • Unboxing: If using boxcutters or scissors to unbox your print, please be mindful of where you’re cutting so that you don’t damage the print.
  • Handling: To minimize smudging, especially for ChromaLuxe Metal and TruLife® Face-Mounted Acrylic prints, it’s recommended to only touch the edges of the print. Cotton art handling gloves can provide an extra layer of security, but just be mindful that these gloves can often minimize grip.
  • Cleaning: Regular cleaning of prints helps to make them appear as visually striking as possible and ensures their longevity. Gently wiping prints down with a soft and clean microfiber cloth to remove dust is generally all the cleaning that my prints should need. If ChromaLuxe Metal prints ever get smudged, they can be cleaned with an ammonia-free cleaning solution such as Windex (although using just water is often sufficient), by spraying the solution onto a clean and soft microfiber cloth, and then gently wiping the surface with long strokes. For TruLife® Face-Mounted Acrylic prints, the same process can be followed, although just a small amount of water or vapor (by breathing on the smudged area if it’s accessible) is recommended rather than a cleaning solution.

REFUNDS

While extremely rare, if a print arrives broken or damaged, a full refund will be provided, or a replacement will be sent free of charge. If a print arrives broken or damaged, please contact me as soon as possible and include pictures of the print, and we can then work through the process of sending the print back to me, and either getting your money refunded or a replacement print sent to you. Since prints are custom-made for each client, refunds/replacements will only be provided for broken/damaged prints, but you can rest assured knowing that many satisfied customers have previously ordered prints from Joey Priola Photography.
